Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program – Business Applicant
How to Apply for Manitoba’s Business Immigration Program?
Interested entrepreneurs must begin by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI), which includes documentation of an Exploratory Visit and a Business Intent Summary. The visit must occur within one year before submitting the EOI. These steps are required to potentially receive an invitation to apply for nomination.
Eligibility Criteria for the Business Applicant Program:
To qualify, candidates must meet these requirements:
Financial Requirements:
- Possess a verified minimum personal net worth
- Commit to making a business investment
- Provide a refundable good-faith deposit
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of business ownership/management experience, OR
- Minimum 3 years of executive-level senior management experience
Assessment:
- Achieve the minimum required score on the Adaptability Assessment Matrix (evaluating age, business knowledge, experience, and net worth)
- Demonstrate language proficiency through approved test results
- Earn points based on Manitoba connections and dependents’ skills
Application and Selection Process
Manitoba evaluates all EOIs and selects top candidates to apply for nomination. The province then identifies the strongest applicants for final nomination.
Important notes:
- Submission of an EOI doesn’t guarantee nomination
- Provincial nomination doesn’t guarantee permanent residency approval
- Final approval rests with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
This program offers business professionals an opportunity to establish themselves in Manitoba while contributing to the province’s economic growth. Meeting all requirements and carefully following the process is essential for success.
