- Job Creation Threshold: Minimum job creation requirements apply, with proportional increases for multiple nominee requests
Requirements for Nominee Positions
Nominated positions must:
- Be essential to the investment’s long-term success
- Qualify as skilled occupations (NOC 0, A or B categories)
- Represent permanent, full-time employment
- Offer competitive market wages
- Not affect existing labor disputes or opportunities for Canadian workers
Application Process
- Initial Review: Secondary ministry evaluates the investment proposal
- Formal Application: Complete submission package reviewed by both ministries
- Nomination Phase: Approved applicants receive nominee package for final processing
Pathway to Permanent Residence
Successful nominees may:
- Apply for permanent residence through IRCC
- Request temporary work permits to commence Ontario operations during processing
